  A few months back, Ken bought a big box of a bunch of blank tapes we thought were black.
  He thought they remembered 60 minutes of sound but they could only remember 30.
  He was going to be dubbing his 15 minute electroacoustic composition onto both 15 minute sides of each of the blank black tapes, and I said,
  
  "Hey we should do a split"
  
  and so when we both left for school we said we would each dub and make art for a bunch of copies to give to our friends and to sell at concerts we play and over the internet.
